I loved the treatment I got at Renew Physical Therapy. Pat was my therapist and was super knowledgeable and helped me with my chronic lower back pain. They addressed the root causes of my pain including my posture and weak transverse abdominal muscles. They gave me gentle exercises to target my transverse abdominal area and correct my posture.

I had gone to 3 other locations in the past for PT and I was so lucky to find Renew PT in Oakland. The 5 star reviews are all spot on and was so relieved to have this gem with wonderful staff in the front and PTs who are so thorough and excellent in assessing and providing effective exercises that really made a difference. The work space was very clean, not crowded and was a pleasure to go to. I liked that the exercise routines were easily accessible with video links that demonstrated the correct way to do the routines. I had Jeff and Lena for my physical therapists and both were great. I would definitely return to Renew if I needed rehab PT in the future.

Great experience at Renew with Jessica. From a business/service standpoint they were always punctual and responsive in working with me around schedule. Most important, the PT experience was superb. Jessica and team were friendly and supportive. Even with so many patients, she kept track of goals, progress and changes at a pretty granular level. We found some other ailments that were interfering with the primary PT goals and worked together to address those problems. I liked the homework and recommended exercises to practice outside of appointments. I'd return and have already recommended Renew to family members. I hope I don't have to go to PT again, but if I did it would be at Renew with Jessica.

Having experienced physical therapy off and for almost 8 years, I have seen good and bad physical therapy. Renew PT is by far and away the best I have worked with. The front people were wonderful; special thanks to Adelle who worked wonders with the schedule. I worked with three therapists, two men, one woman and all of them were thorough and supportive. I was pushed, which I wanted since that is how you improve, but never pushed beyond my limits. Strongly recommend.

My experience at Renew Physical Therapy was fantastic, and having “graduated” from my visits a month ago, it’s clear to me that my back problems have subdued and are in the most controlled state they’ve been in years. I was paired with Josh who I trusted almost immediately, and after a few sessions it was clear he was a good match for me and great PT in general. He was able to be almost casual or informal, while being professional at the same time. He took the time to get to know me and my issues, and his knowledge about the subject was evident. I was impressed and will be forever thankful. The facility administrators were also great. I incorrectly documented one of my appointments and ended up accidentally no-showing, but instead of getting annoyed or charging a fee, they worked with me to reschedule quickly and efficiently. They were kind and personable, and I also really liked how quickly they responded to text messages. It may not seem like a big deal but it was also convenient that there were always parking options outside too. I would strongly recommend this business. And while I hope I don’t have a reason to go back, it’s comforting knowing they’re close by.

I have only praise and appreciation for all of the staff here. The front office team are friendly, helpful, and always do their best to schedule me far out to get ahead of booked up schedules. I love the waitlist updates being sent via text on weeks there are limited appointments that don't work with my personal schedule. It's a great touch. I've worked with Jessica and Pat for various needs. As a complex client, they have both been immensely kind, caring, thorough, and determined to actually get results. The improvements I have gotten here are worth more than five stars. The experience there is always friendly and welcoming. It's clear everyone the entire staff cares a lot about what they do and enjoys their work. I wouldn't go anywhere else in the Bay Area for PT.

Renew is an oasis amongst in-network physical therapy clinics. Seldom outside of private practice are therapists able to spend your whole appointment with you. Quality of care and attention to detail are top notch. Jess helped treat my a persistent running related tendinopathy successfully after two other practitioners at other clinics failed. Her sessions focus on form an educating you on proper biomechanics so that the exercises you do outside of clinic are done properly. You're not just guided through a workout. She includes a few minutes of massage, too. As a certified massage therapist myself, I trust Renew with my clients when they need physical therapy. Renew therapists collaborate with other practitioners in your care team to assure you receive the best possible treatment.

I found Will, my PT at Renew, through my health insurance, and working with him has been life‑changing. I’d been dealing with chronic pain in my neck, shoulders, lower back, hands, and feet, and he helped resolve every issue. I’m now back to all my physical activities and feeling great. His care was exceptional, combining soft‑tissue work, targeted exercises, and practical tools I could use on my own. He’s personable, attentive, and makes each session meaningful. Highly recommended.

I am very thankful to the advice I received from Jessica on a persistent knee issue that kept me from high intensity workouts. Jessica diagnosed the issue correctly and designed a treatment that helped me make real improvement. She is very disciplined in her approach, doesn’t cut corners, and is a great person too. I have been going to Renew for a year plus, and every week I am greeted by Adele and Olivia at the front desk. They are caring, friendly, professional. If I need extra time, they add me to the waitlist and often times get me in to see Pat, my therapist, who has guided and helped me to achieve better function in several parts of my body. Adele and Olivia also keep the treat jar full, knowing that a sweet treat makes the day a little better. And, they send treats home to my two small grandchildren. Thank you Olivia and Adele for making Renew such a friendly place!
